Become a Community Garden Volunteer

What does it involve?

Our garden sessions run each Tuesday from 10.30am - 12pm. Volunteers are welcome to pop in when they have some time. There is no prior commitment required for this project.

Promoting Biodiversity

The garden is also a place where we encourage biodiversity.

From managing established pollinator-friendly plants such as buddleia to planting wildflowers & flowering herbs, we try to make the space welcome to bees, butterflies as well as birds!

What is the project for?

Since 2021 we have had access to a former domestic garden in St Andrews town centre. Since then we have been growing produce which is then donated to North East Fife Community Hub to be used in their Community Cafe

Kitchen Garden

We have successfully grown many vegetables and salad crops - including squashes, beetroot, lettuce, carrots & rhubarb.

We also received raised beds made by Mens Shed St Andrews to help ensure that the garden is accessible as possible.
